Spendly is an offline-first expense tracking app. Your expense records — including amounts, categories, descriptions, dates, and notes — are stored locally on your own device in an offline database. Spendly does not operate a server or a cloud account, and no expense data is uploaded anywhere by default. The App works fully without an internet connection for all core expense-tracking features.

Requested only when you actively choose to scan a physical bill or receipt, to extract the amount and merchant details and pre-fill an expense for your review. Never required to use the App.
Uses the Android system Photo Picker when you select a receipt image — Spendly only receives the single image you actively pick, never broad access to your photo library.
Requested only when you use voice-input to speak an expense. Used for speech-to-text conversion only — raw audio is never retained or uploaded. Optional and never required.
Optional morning/evening reminders to log an expense, generated entirely on your device. Never required to use the App's core features.
Export your expenses for any date range you choose. The file is handed to your device's native share sheet — you decide where it goes.
Restoring only adds new expense entries — it never deletes or overwrites your existing data.
You choose a folder on your device; Spendly periodically writes an updated Excel file there. Spendly itself never uploads this file anywhere — any further syncing is handled by the third-party service you chose for that folder, under its own privacy policy.
Used only if you opt in to Google Drive-related backup features, via Google's own authentication flow. Never required for normal expense tracking. Google's use of your information is governed by Google's own Privacy Policy.
We do not sell, rent, or share your expense data with third parties for advertising or marketing. Because data is stored locally by default, we — the developers — cannot see your records unless you voluntarily export, back up, or share a file yourself.
Delete individual expenses anytime from Expense History. Uninstalling the App, or clearing its storage, permanently deletes all locally stored data. Backup files you created elsewhere are unaffected.
Spendly is a general-purpose personal finance tool, not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with an updated Effective Date above. Continued use of the App after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
